The governor of Cross Rivers State has given order to members of his cabinet to wear only clothes manufactured in the state on Thursday 18th, 2017. The factory where these clothes are produced in Calabar is a creation of his administration.

This was disclosed to newsmen by the Governor after his visit to the factory. And He also said he will — beginning from June 1st — be wearing only clothing items made from the factory.

Gov. Ben Ayade

According to him: “The garment factory today is a reality and it’s now producing in commercial quantities for export too. Henceforth, starting from today, all executive members, all appointees must be in clothes made from Calabar Garment Factory and this is official. By the close of next month, anything I put on my body will be made from Cross River Garment Factory. That is my sincere commitment to the state and for the 3,000 young people working in the factory”.
