10 Things Men Desire From Their Spouse Apart From Sex

It’s no longer news that sex is very important to men. Majority of them even admit that among the list of things they want in a marriage, sex takes the number 1 place. Although, some men have other desires apart



from Sexual and emotional needs.

Most men find it difficult to ask their wives for what they desire, but many of them have some feelings and thoughts that they keep to themselves. For instance, some men feel a sense of obligation to provide for their wives financially, even if she earns more than he does or they both agreed on contributing equally to cater for the home. This scenario creates a form of pressure that somehow affects the relationship.



1. Affection

Although most men love the act of sex, some just want to be showered with more affection. Whether it’s massaging his feet or shoulders, holding hands with him in public, or leaving a love note on his cell phone – just showing that you care for him through spontaneous gestures of affection will sweeten his heart.

Try out different ways to show to him how much you care by being warm. Try Stuffs like; telling him when something goes wrong, cheering him up when he is in doubt and telling him how much you love and care about him. The majority of men believe that they have to protect and cater for their loved ones. Let your spouse know that you strongly believe in his skills and talents and that you are supportive of him. Your encouragement is most significant to him of amongst others.

For instance, you could allow him to order for you the next time you both are out on a date. Plan a dialogue routine where you take at least 10 minutes daily to ask each other positive questions. This could include questions like; your favourite date together, your husband’s personal quality,  what attracts you both to one another.

Appreciate and compliment him, most men love being patted on their back. Don’t over-do it, but ensure it’s sporadic throughout the week and make sure it’s genuine.

Everyone loves to be accepted for who they are and don’t want to be changed by others. Men particularly often feel angered and hurt when their wives try to change them. If it concerns their health and safety, it’s understandable, but it’s not necessary to bring up superficial attributes.

You can let your spouse know how well you accept him for who he is by letting things slide when it comes to different activities, politics or opinions. Don’t get this point wrong, communication is key, and nobody wants a relationship where you don’t talk. So when you really need to get intimate and talk, check in with him to see whether he’s up for it. But if he isn’t, you may need to carve out some other time for you both to get back on track.

7. Respect

Creating a loving and memorable starts with respect. One of the best ways you can show your man you respect and love him is by giving him listening ears when he speaks and not interrupting him.

When your spouse returns home from work, you can give him some space to unwind without any chatter or questions. Be mindful of his schedule, If you really need to spend quality time your husband, try making plans together or with his concert.

9. Trust

This is one of the keys to successful marriage life. Couples could build trust by being honest with one another, learning how to fight square and fair, as well as communicating often.

10. Companionship
