Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse – An Epic Multiverse Tale Featuring a Wild Live-Action Cameo

The upcoming Spider-Man movie, Across the Spider-Verse, is set to be released soon, and unlike previous Spider-Man films, it will be animated. It is also not a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), although the most recent trailer did tease a connection to the MCU’s Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland. However, the trailer has also hinted that the movie might have a negative impact on Marvel’s multiverse.

While fans eagerly await the release of the animated feature, there is a rumor circulating that the movie will feature an exciting live-action cameo.

The MCU may be destroyed by Across the Spider-Verse

Recently, Sony released a trailer for their upcoming animated film, Across the Spider-Verse, which features an intriguing new concept for multiverse travel that challenges what we have seen in previous multiverse films. The trailer introduces a group of Spider-People who are aware of the events happening in the multiverse and can intervene if they see fit. However, the film’s protagonist, Miles Morales, will be going against this elite group.

This Spider-People team seems to be knowledgeable about the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, and they even mock the primary Peter Parker and Doctor Strange of the MCU. It is safe to assume that they are also aware of the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield Spider-Man variants that have appeared in the MCU.

While the trailer is not enough to explain the intricacies of this multiversal team, it is important that Across the Spider-Verse finds a logical explanation that does not contradict the established multiverse rules in the MCU.

Furthermore, there are rumors circulating that at least one live-action Spider-Man cameo will appear in the animated film. Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the movie to see how it all unfolds.

Cameos of Spider-Man

The latest trailer for Across the Spider-Verse has revealed an overwhelming number of Spider-Man and Spider-Woman variants, leaving some fans wondering if it may be too much. Interestingly, the trailer did not feature any appearances from Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, or Andrew Garfield, despite making references to Holland’s actions in the Multiverse Saga.

Previous rumors have speculated that the three live-action Spider-Man variants, who have appeared in Sony’s previous movies, may make an appearance in Across the Spider-Verse. However, a recent tweet from the Twitter account Marvel Updates suggests that this may not be the case. It is important to note that the account has shared numerous MCU rumors in the past but has never revealed any sources.

Marvel Updates recently sparked a new rumor about the upcoming sequel to Into the Spider-Verse, Across the Spider-Verse. According to their claim, only Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man will make an appearance in the live-action version of the film. However, no source has been provided to support this rumor.

Despite the lack of confirmation, the possibility of Garfield’s return is certainly exciting for fans, especially after his highly praised performance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Nonetheless, it raises questions about whether Tobey Maguire or Tom Holland will also make an appearance in the sequel.

While the presence of live-action Spider-Man variants would add an extra layer of intrigue to the story, it’s important to remember that the heart of the film is Miles Morales’ journey. The success of the sequel does not depend on the inclusion of these characters. However, as the film deals with a multiverse storyline, incorporating Spider-Man Easter eggs like Garfield, Holland, and Maguire could enhance the overall viewing experience and add more depth to the storytelling.
