Star Wars Outlaws: Embracing the Original Trilogy

Ubisoft’s take on the Star Wars universe, titled “Star Wars Outlaws,” is set to bring their renowned open-world game design to a galaxy far, far away next year. During San Diego Comic-Con, fans were treated to an exciting behind-the-scenes glimpse of the game. This captivating video features developer interviews, tantalizing snippets of gameplay, stunning concept art, and additional intriguing details, making it the perfect way to stay updated before the official release of Star Wars Outlaws.

Following the game’s initial reveal, Ubisoft generously shared comprehensive gameplay footage, allowing fans to get a glimpse of what’s in store. Now, the latest BTS video compiles the most significant snippets, giving us even more to be excited about.

Marthe Jonkers, the associate art director, revealed that the Ubisoft Massive team has been delving deep into the LucasFilm archives to authentically bring the iconic locations to life in a fresh and genuine manner. The dedication to preserving the essence of the Star Wars universe while adding new dimensions is evident in every aspect of Star Wars Outlaws. The anticipation for this immersive gaming experience is higher than ever. May the Force be with us as we await the game’s release!

Undoubtedly, one of the most iconic locations receiving special attention in “Star Wars Outlaws” is Tatooine. Ubisoft has revealed that they are expanding beyond the familiar territory of Mos Eisley and the moisture farms, introducing new points of interest. Moreover, a brand new location called Toshara has been crafted from the ground up, tailored to embody the scoundrel fantasy at the core of the Star Wars universe. Steve Blank from LucasFilm has expressed excitement about this fresh addition to the galaxy.

To maintain authenticity, Ubisoft has delved into the legendary concept art by Ralph McQuarrie and the storyboards by Joe Johnstone. This effort ensures that the universe feels lived-in and rich with the essence of Star Wars. The incorporation of Star Wars DNA into Toshara, despite being a new location, is a testament to Ubisoft’s commitment, which they aim to carry throughout the entire game.

A previous Ubisoft video disclosed an intriguing feature – a GTA-style wanted system. The game will respond dynamically to your actions, with the Empire forces increasing their pursuit of you based on the level of chaos and havoc you cause.

As of now, it remains uncertain whether both “Star Wars Outlaws” and “Avatar Frontiers of Pandora” will be available on Valve’s Steam platform. Currently, “Star Wars Outlaws” is only listed for Ubisoft Connect on PC.

While we eagerly await the release of “Star Wars Outlaws,” there are plenty of incredible single-player games available on PC to keep us engaged. Additionally, if you’re a Star Wars enthusiast, there’s a list of essential Star Wars games you can explore before “Outlaws” arrives, ensuring you stay immersed in the galaxy far, far away. May the gaming adventures keep us entertained until the much-anticipated release!
