Irish Beach Resurfaces After Being Washed Away For 33 Years
|For over 30 years the Irish storm has washes off the beach of the west coast of Ireland leaving only bare rock and rock pools.Well, that is just to say nature has her way of taking and giving back in her own time.
According to report the beach vanished in 1984 during winter. But has finally returned in couple of days in April 2017 depositing thousands of tons of sand and creating 300-meter strand. Sean Molloy of Achill Tourism, said: “the storms of 1984;”completely took every last grain of sand off the beach,.but last month, “in the space of about eight or 10 days, these very strong winds came from the north. Apparently what that does is, it blows the surface water back, because this is a south-facing beach. The sea then takes the sands underneath and brings the sands up.”
