Facebook Adopts Five New Emoji as Alternative to Like Reaction Button

The world leading social network realizes that not everything posted the online is what users really likes so has worked towards adding more reaction option for people to express what they feel about friends and family post online via Facebook.

Same features have launched in Spain and Ireland last year, but would roll out for everyone to use as soon as the option comes up on your screen when the FB application is updated to the latest version.

The new feature will allow users do more like, see something you love, love it using the love button. Express your reaction using haha, wow, sad or angry button option. Hopefully your friends will now know reasons why you decide to click the like button because people do so for many reason not just for the liking.

Sammi Krug, FB product manager said “We’ve been listening to people and know that there should be more ways to easily and quickly express how something you see in News Feed makes you feel.”

“That’s why today we are launching Reactions, and extension of the Like button, to give you more ways to share your reaction to a post in a quick and easy way. The expanded reactions feature had been tested in several markets and is now rolling out globally.”

According to Mark Zuckerberg “Not every moment is a good moment, and sometimes you just want a way to express empathy. These are important moments where you need the power to share more than ever, and a ‘Like’ might not be the best way to express yourself.”
