Oppo A1 Firmware, Flash Tool and Steps to Flash
|Earlier on when Oppo A1 was released we published a post to show our readers the features, specifications and price of this most adorable Oppo device called A1. As well as how you can perform a hard or soft reset when your A1 becomes unresponsive or should you choose to give to someone else with no data in it.
Usually,a hard or soft reset with the guide provided for Oppo A1 is supposed to fix any possible software issue you might be experiencing with your Oppo A1 or other similar android devices that the quick fixing guide for issues like camera, Bluetooth, SIM, Wi-Fi, YouTube or other malfunction could solve. But if you have tried that already and it failed then, you should probably opt-in for formatting in this case I will show you how to use SP Flash Tool to format your A1.
Just before you follow the tips below to upgrade or downgrade your Oppo A1. Do a backup of your personal data:
- Setup an auto or carry out a manual backup regularly of your Oppo A1 following our guide here with data or Wi-Fi connection.
- You can also backup your Oppo A1 offline – without an internet connection following the steps provided here.
Easy Steps on how to flash Oppo A1 Back to Its Factory State:
Step 1: You need to download and install the USB drivers on your computer or laptop.
Step 2: Now you need to download the flash tool used to carry out flashing on Oppo device which is called MSM Tool on your computer or laptop, you can get it here (and disable system virus until the installation is complete).
Step 3: Please make sure that the phone is at least charged up to 50% or more of battery life before you carry out the flashing process, we recommend charging the device up to 100% before carrying out any flashing process.
Step 4: If you have any file you need that is important please make sure you back it up, but if you can’t because the phone has been bricked then just move to the next step.
Step 5: This step is kinda tricky because there is a process to follow to make sure that the flash tool works fine.
- Download the MSM Flash Tool as guided in step 2 and keep it anywhere preferable for you on your computer or laptop.
- Now you need to install PDAnet.exe and CodeMeterRuntime.exe on your computer or laptop.
- After doing that you need to open the Codemeter control center and select the Licence file, you will need to import the Licence file from the folder of Oppo_MSM_Download_Tool_None_Lic_2000.
- After doing that process you will see the Licence Activation message in a window, and that means you have activated the tool.
Step 6: Now you will need to download the stock ROM of the phone you want to flash, you can get it here.
Step 7: You will need to extract the flash file after you have downloaded it.
Step 8: Now you need to run the flash tool as an administrator.
Step 9: After that, you will see an option to load the flash file.
Step 10: Now turn off the Oppo device and boot it into factory mode, by pressing the volume up key.
Step 11: Now connect the device to the computer or laptop with a good USB cable, preferable a new one or the original USB cable.
Step 12: You will see the start button, click on it and wait for the process to finish, this might take up some minutes 5 or 15 minutes.
Step 13: After you see “Download complete” on your PC, you can now disconnect the phone from the computer, and then restart or turn on the device.
