Facebook: Ask Questions, Suggest A Way Forward or Comment Your Opinion on Our Terms and Data Policy

These past weeks has been a big one between leading social platforms, tech companies and their users over terms and data policy. And so far, they are all working out a way to gain back the trust of their users with new terms, data policy and users control privacy settings that will make people share moments with their friends and families without any fear of your data being used in an unauthorized way.

To fix this controversy Facebook has decided to roll out their new terms and data policy. “We’re Making Out Terms and Data Policy Clearer, Without New Rights to Use Your Data on Facebook” – Facebook, newsroom.

According to the recent update: the new terms and data policy isn’t a way for the leading social media platform to ask for the rights to collect, make use of your data or share it on Facebook. Also, they aren’t going to change the privacy choices you’ve made earlier on before this rollout.

Some of the updates you will find in the new terms include:

·        New features and tools: These would cover newly introduced features on Facebook that was rolled out after when the terms and data policy was updated three years back.

·        Personalized experience: Provides information on how your data are being used and why it’s needed to customize the posts, groups, friends pages they suggest and ads that show up while you are on Facebook.

·        What Facebook share.

·        Advertising.

·        One company.

·        Device information.

·        Addressing harmful behaviour.

If you have any question, what to suggest something better for the greater good of over two billion Facebook users or simply just comment on these new Terms of Service and Data Policy updates. Then, Facebook is giving you a week to do so as a feedback that might be taken and implemented.

It ends on 11th April 2018. All you have to do is visit Facebook’s Help Center and contribute what you think.
