Earlier on there has been trending news about a potential increase in allowance of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members. Today, a recent tweet shared by @APCNewspaper has it that the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration have increased corp members allowance from its usual nineteen thousand eight hundred naira (N19,800) to forty-nine thousand eight hundred naira (N49,800 appr. 50k).

So far, the NYSC board have not given an official statement concerning the said increment the corpers monthly allowance.

Recall a couple of days ago when the NYSC Director-General paid a visit to several orientation camps. He encouraged the fresh corpers to be in good conduct as their allowance increment is still awaiting approval.

This could be a breakthrough for most people like the few we’ve asked so far what they think if the change is true. Some said they don’t mind serving for 4 years.
