Here is LG’S Take On Foldable Phones

Trending currently and taking over the market is the foldable phone from different brands but it seems LG is not ready to move with this trend.  During a press conference held in Seoul, Brian Kwon who is the boss of LG Electronic mobile and Tv gave a speech.

I quote:

‘’During the Consumer Electronics Show in January, LG introduced a rollable TV. This is an advanced technology one step ahead of foldable technology. We have reviewed releasing the foldable smartphone when launching 5G smartphones but decided not to produce it’’.

‘’The market demand for smartphones is expected to be at around 1 million but LG’S main issue in the smartphone business is to regain its market position. Considering this situation, it is too early for LG to launch a foldable smartphone. In terms of technology, we are fully ready to respond depending on consumers’ reactions (to foldable smartphones)’’.

It is still uncertain if LG is yet to produce a foldable or isn’t just ready to launch because the demand is not high.

An LG insider tells The Verge. ‘’What I can say is that we’ve been looking at this form factor for many years’’.
