Password Of Over 6 Million Facebook Users Stored As Plain Text

We have been hearing of many security issues with one of the biggest social media companies in the world Facebook. There has been a case of millions on Facebook accounts been hacked and many security issues. Facebook CEO Mark has been apologizing to the public and promising to keep Facebook up to date and secure.





Reports showed that 600 million Facebook account is not safe and can be easily hacked by hackers. Facebook said this is just a bug and it is going to fix it as soon as possible. But they are advising users to change their Facebook Account to make sure it is secured.

The security bug was found by cybersecurity blog KrebsonSecurity and proved that over 600 million Facebook account passwords are stored as plain text on their database, which shouldn’t be so. This proved that over 600 million Facebook is not encrypted.
