Naira Marley’s Case Adjourned As ‘Lawyers’ Battle Over Seating Space
| The trial of popular musician, Azeez Fashola who is popularly known as Naira Marley resumed for
hearing today October 24th but as the judge settled in to hear the case, the lawyer representing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
(EFCC), Rotimi Oyedepo and Naira Marley’s counsel, Olalekan Ojo,
SAN and two other senior lawyers began to quarrel over seats available
in the court.
Following the argument, Justice Nicholas Oweibo appealed to the Senior lawyers to bear with the government over inadequate space in the courtroom.
The heated argument
between the lawyers over their seating space in the courtroom led to the abrupt
adjournment of the trial to December 11th, 2019.
