How to Link Your NIN to Your Airtel Line

The Federal Government has mandated all Nigerians to have a National Identity Number (NIN). This is to ensure that every Nigerian’s record ranging from Demographic data, Fingerprints, Head-to-Shoulder facial picture, other biometric data, and Digital Signature, powered by the National Identity Management Commission, which makes it relatively easy to confirm and verify your identity.

I believe most people still find it difficult to link their NIN to their mobile numbers but don’t worry we got you covered.

How to Link Your Airtel Line

Step 1. Dial *346# on your device to retrieve your NIN number

Step 2. Dial *121# on the Airtel line you wish to link, reply with 1 for the NIN Capture

Step 3. Enter your 11 digit NIN number as required by the network provider and send

Step 4. Wait for a confirmation message. If not successful, keep trying until you get a notification.

If you’re a smartphone user, you can also visit the official website at https://www.airtel.com.ng/NIN where you will be asked to enter your phone number and an OTP will be sent to you.
