Apple Watch set to gain compatibility with iPad and Mac devices

According to the Twitter user analyst941, who previously leaked accurate information about the iPhone 14 Pro’s Dynamic Island, the Apple Watch may soon be able to sync across multiple devices, including iPads and Macs, in addition to iPhones. The leaker has not provided details about when or if this feature will be implemented, but if it proves to be true, it could be a significant addition to watchOS 10, which is already anticipated as a major update for Apple’s smartwatch. Alternatively, this feature could come in a later software release, such as watchOS 11.

Apple has been gradually reducing the Apple Watch’s reliance on the iPhone as it evolves. However, at present, it’s only possible to pair multiple Apple Watches with one iPhone, not the other way around. With the rumored expansion of the Watch’s compatibility to include iPads and Macs, it’s likely that these devices will soon support the Watch app as well, as it’s currently the only way to sync the smartwatch with an iPhone. It’s unclear why someone would want to do this unless they don’t have an iPhone to pair with their Apple Watch, but even then, it doesn’t seem to make much sense.
