True Detective: Night Country Trailer Released, Jodie Foster and Kali Reis Star in Fourth Season
|HBO has officially announced the highly anticipated return of True Detective for its fourth season, and to add to the excitement, they’ve released a trailer for it.
The trailer for True Detective: Night Country, the fourth installment of the award-winning series, has been released on HBO Max (soon to be Max). Starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, the trailer offers a sneak peek into the duo’s investigation into the disappearance of eight men in Alaska.
True Detective’s fourth season, titled Night Country, will feature Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro, respectively, two detectives from Ennis, Alaska who are tasked with investigating the mysterious disappearance of eight men from the Tsalal Arctic Research Station. Along the way, they will confront their inner demons and unbury the dark truths hidden beneath the ice.
The show is being developed by the showrunner, writer, director, and executive producer Issa López, with Jodie Foster also serving as an executive producer. Other executive producers include Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak for PASTEL, Mari Jo Winkler, Chris Mundy, Alan Page Arriaga, Steve Golin, Richard Brown, Woody Harrelson, Matthew McConaughey, Cary Joji Fukunaga, and Nic Pizzolatto. Producers include Princess Daazhraii Johnson, Cathy Tagnak Rexford, and Sam Breckman.
While the release date for True Detective: Night Country has not been officially announced, it is set to premiere on Max later this year. Coinciding with the announcement of True Detective: Night Country, Warner Bros. Discovery revealed the launch of Max, their new streaming service that will combine HBO Max and Discovery Plus and is set to launch in May.
