Get Ready to Play: Pokemon Trading Card Game Live Launches June 8 for iOS, Android, and PC

The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Trading Card Game Live will be officially launched on June 8 for iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows devices, following a lengthy beta testing period. The release of the new game means that Pokemon TCG Online will be discontinued before the launch of the new game.

The latest expansion of TCG with Scarlet & Violet – Paldea Evolved set will be released alongside Pokemon Trading Card Game Live, allowing players to collect and battle with new Pokemon ex and Tera ex cards. In celebration of the official launch of the game, players who log in to the game between May 2 and June 6 will receive a special customization accessory, including a coin, card sleeves, and a deck box.

Developed and published by The Pokemon Company International, Pokemon Trading Card Game Live offers players an updated digital format to enjoy the Pokemon TCG. It will be a free-to-play game that caters to both novice and seasoned players, with various gameplay modes, daily quests, customizable avatars, and Pokemon TCG accessories, as well as favorite activities such as building decks and battling friends.

Gamers all over the world can download Pokemon Trading Card Game Live on mobile devices via the App Store and Google Play or on PC and Mac at Pokemon.com/TCGL.

Here’s how and what may be transferred from Pokemon Trading Card Game Live to TCG Online

Once Pokemon Trading Card Game Live becomes available, players will have the ability to transfer cards and accessories from the previous games.

Cards from the Sword & Shield Series and Sun & Moon Series will be transferable and playable in Pokemon TCG Live at launch. Cards from the XY Series and the Black & White Series will also be transferable at launch but will not be playable until future updates of the game. Players will be able to transfer up to four copies of a unique Pokemon TCG card, one copy of an ACE SPEC, Prism Star, or Pokemon Star card, one copy of each part of a Pokemon V-UNION card, and 59 copies of a basic Energy card, excluding non-foil basic Energy cards without a collector number or expansion icon. Any additional copies beyond these limits will not be transferred.

In addition, many coins, card sleeves, and deck boxes will be transferable, with a maximum of one copy per item. However, any extra copies of coins, card sleeves, and deck boxes will not be transferred.
