Rocket’s life is in peril, according to the Guardians’ Vol. 3 narrative summary
|With the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Domini next Friday, Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe gets underway. A third threequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, will be released in less than three months. James Gunn’s trilogy and the Guardians of the Galaxy as we know them will come to an end with it. There are still a lot of unanswered questions regarding Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but a new Disney synopsis suggests that Rocket Raccoon’s life will be in danger.
A new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 storyline summary was released by The Direct on Monday. It is comparable to what is now on Disney’s website, but with a little more information. Most importantly, it dispels any uncertainty surrounding the story, which will revolve around Rocket:
In “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” from Marvel Studios, our cherished band of misfits is adjusting to life on Knowhere. Yet, it doesn’t take long for the echoes of Rocket’s stormy past to disrupt their lives. In order to save Rocket’s life, Peter Quill, who is still in shock over Gamora’s death, must gather his crew around him. If the operation is unsuccessful, it may spell the end of the Guardians as we know them.
The stakes for the individual characters in Guardians Vol. 3 are as high as they’ve ever been, similar to Ant-Man 3. This installment will be “more adult” and “far more emotional” than the others, according to Gunn. He also said there would be at least one significant death.
The main cast of the Guardians has been a part of the MCU for about nine years, but we don’t know which one will pass away.
As much as he likes the role, Dave Bautista, who plays Drax, admitted in a recent interview that he is glad the trip is over.
Whether Drax perishes in the sequel or not, it doesn’t appear like Bautista has any immediate intentions to take up the part again.
Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, and Karen Gillan, meanwhile, have all been in the public eye longer than Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and Scarlett Johansson.
If Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was their final appearance, it wouldn’t be all that shocking.
When Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 premieres in theaters on May 5, 2023, we’ll learn more.
