More Original Cast Members Confirmed for Deadpool 3 in the MCU
|Ryan Reynolds is gradually bringing together the original supporting cast from the first two Deadpool movies for his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On Wednesday, it was announced that Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic have signed on to reprise their roles as Vanessa Carlysle and Colossus, respectively, in Deadpool 3, according to Deadline. Reynolds has also confirmed the return of Karan Soni as Dopinder and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, making it four returning cast members so far. Fans are eagerly anticipating news on whether other favorites like Cable, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Domino will be returning as well.
Is Colossus Joining the MCU in Deadpool 3?
While we wait for more casting news, the inclusion of Kapicic is particularly exciting as Colossus is an important member of the X-Men and a mutant. However, it is unlikely that the Colossus we met in the Fox universe will be the same one that will be introduced in the MCU. Deadpool’s multiversal adventures will probably take him to various realities, including the Fox universe. Deadpool is known for breaking the fourth wall, but it’s unlikely that Colossus, Wolverine, and Deadpool will be the first mutants to appear in an MCU movie, given that we’ve already seen Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Kamala Khan as a mutant in the finale of Ms. Marvel, and Namor as the first mutant in Marvel Comics, appearing as the villain in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
As the list of mutants in the MCU grows longer, fans are left wondering where the X-Men are and when they will finally make an appearance.
