Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3: The Surprising Credits Scenes Leak

After the release of Guardians Vol. 3, I have exciting news for fans – there is a massive surprise in store! Unlike previous installments, none of the characters will die, although some will have a few close calls to death. This detail is crucial in fully comprehending the post-credits scenes in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

James Gunn and Marvel chose to disband the current Guardians team, as many characters have reached the end of their story arcs. However, a few characters will make appearances in future adventures.

It has been confirmed that the Guardians will continue to exist, although they may have a different name in the future. According to a plot leak for Guardians Vol. 3, the new team might be called the Annihilators, but this name has not yet been officially introduced by Marvel.

The first post-credits scene of Guardians Vol. 3 reveals the new team roster, which includes Rocket as the leader and Groot as the only remaining original Guardian. The other members are Kraglin, Adam Warlock, Phyla-Vell, and Blurp.

Meanwhile, the former members of the Guardians will each go their separate ways. Gamora will stay with the Ravagers, Nebula will become the new leader of Knowhere, and Mantis will embark on a journey of self-discovery to figure out what she wants from life.

The second set of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 credits

According to sources, Peter Quill’s story arc in Guardians Vol. 3 will see him retire in a similar manner to Steve Rogers in Avengers: Endgame. Quill will return to Earth to reunite with his grandfather.

The second post-credits scene depicts a conversation between Peter and his grandfather about mowing the lawn. This scene suggests that Peter may finally get the break he needs after the events of Endgame and his struggles with alcoholism on Knowhere at the beginning of Guardians Vol. 3, as he still grapples with missing Gamora.

the Multiverse Saga’s connections

Unlike the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, which featured Thanos as the main villain of the Infinity Saga, Guardians Vol. 3 is reported to be a standalone movie with no major ties to the rest of the Multiverse Saga. However, the film does have an important Easter egg at the end that suggests a tie-in with future Marvel movies.

The final card of the film reads, “The Legendary Star-Lord will return,” without mentioning any other Guardians team members. This hook indicates that Star-Lord may play a role in upcoming Marvel movies, such as The Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars, where he could potentially face off against the villainous Kang. It’s possible that other legacy Guardians may also join the fight against Kang once they realize the extent of the threat he poses.
