Steve Jobs’ Insights and Inspiration: A New Book from the Steve Jobs Archive

In early April, the Steve Jobs Archive announced the release of a free book containing speeches from Apple’s founder. The book, titled Make Something Wonderful – Steve Jobs in his own words, is now available to everyone on Apple Books, the Libby app, and online via web browsers.

This book is a curated collection of Steve’s speeches, interviews, and correspondence, offering insight into how one of the world’s most creative entrepreneurs approached his life and work. Within its pages, Steve shares his perspective on his childhood, the launch and eventual ousting from Apple, his time with Pixar and NeXT, and his triumphant return to the company that started it all.

The introduction to the book is written by Steve’s widow, Laurene Powell Jobs, and it is edited by Leslie Berlin. According to the Steve Jobs Archive, this beautiful handbook is designed to inspire readers to create their own “wonderful somethings” that move the world forward.

The book’s title comes from a phrase spoken by Steve Jobs himself during a staff update shortly after the launch of the iPhone. When an employee asked how the company would maintain its culture and brand as it continued to grow, Steve’s response was simple: by making great products.

The Steve Jobs Archive was launched in September 2022 as a repository of materials related to Apple’s founder, including previously unseen videos and emails. The project is backed by Laurene Powell Jobs, Jony Ive, Tim Cook, and others, and according to the archive’s website, it is the authoritative home for Steve’s story and a resource to help new generations make their own mark.

You can download Make Something Wonderful – Steve Jobs in his own words for free from the following sources: Apple Books, the Libby app, and via web browsers.
