Ted Lasso and Juno Temple Join Cast of Venom 3

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you’re probably familiar with the hit TV show Ted Lasso, which has been racking up Emmy nominations and wins since its debut on Apple TV+ a couple of years ago. One of the show’s most beloved characters is Keeley Jones, portrayed by Juno Temple.

Rumors are swirling that Ted Lasso will be ending after its third season, which is currently airing. Meanwhile, it seems that Temple has already landed her next big gig. According to Deadline, she has been cast alongside Tom Hardy in the upcoming third installment of the Venom franchise. While details about the plot and characters are still tightly under wraps, it is known that Hardy will be reprising his role as Venom following the success of the first two films, which together grossed over $1.36 billion worldwide.

Despite mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, the Venom franchise has played a key role in Sony’s efforts to expand its Marvel content, as the studio retains rights to certain Marvel characters. Hardy even made a cameo appearance in the credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, and Michael Keaton, who played Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming, appeared in Morbius in 2022. As for what the future holds for Keeley Jones and the rest of the Venom franchise, we’ll have to wait and see.
