Apple Latest Update iOS 15.1.1 – Features, Download & Install
|Apple recently released a minor update for the iPhone on Wednesday, November 17th. According to Apple’s release notes, iOS 15.1.1 fixes a series of problems associated with the recently released iPhone models in the likes of iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. In recent times, there have been a series of reports on the problem of dropped calls which were plaguing a number of iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 owners which prompted Apple’s quick release of this update to address this issue.
Features of iOS 15.1.1
- Call drop fix – iOS 15.1.1 fixes call drop issue on iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models
- Mute alerts for FaceTime – If you accidentally toggle on the mute option when talking via FaceTime, with this feature, you’ll receive an alert allowing you to unmute yourself.
- Set up a Legacy Contact – This feature allows you to add a close contact that will be able to access your account and personal data on event of your demise.
- Security updates without updating OS – With iOS 15.1.1, users will be able to update security updates separately
- Scheduling options in Apple Maps – Apple Maps under iOS 15 will allow users to access their choice travel directions while specifying what time they’d like to leave at or what time they’d like to arrive by.
- Drag and drop between apps – This is a new feature Apple added to iOS 15. Users can finally drag files from one app to another say from a Photos App right to the Whatsapp app.
- Adjust time and dates of photos – With iOS 15, you can manually adjust the date and time of any photo in your photo library.
- Share your screen – This feature is a breath of fresh air for anyone who’s ever had to do tech support from afar with a friend, client, or family member. iOS 15 allows users to share their screens with others. This feature is part of the SharePlay framework.
- Locate your iPhone even if it’s been erased – In release Apple notes it states: “The Find My network and Activation Lock can locate your device even after it has been erased. To help ensure that nobody is tricked into purchasing your device, the Hello screen will clearly show that your device is locked, locatable, and still yours.”

How to download and install iOS 15.1.1 profile
