The Nintendo Switch will get the free-to-play cooperative shooter “Warframe” soon
|When it comes to the amount of material accessible on each of their platforms, Nintendo may never be able to compete with Sony or Microsoft, but the Japanese publisher seems to give priority to adaptations of titles that have already found a large following.
It was demonstrated once more this past weekend when Warframe, a well-known co-op shooter, will be heading to Switch, according to developer Digital Extremes at the TennoCon fan convention. Warframe didn’t become popular straight away since it debuted to mixed reviews and didn’t make the most of the fact that it was one of the more complex free-to-play games available on consoles. Yet Digital Extremes wouldn’t accept defeat, and after numerous upgrades and enhancements, Warframe has become a success. In many respects, Warframe resembles a trimmed-down version of Destiny. Despite the fact that both games necessitate online play, neither is an actual MMO where you’ll be surrounded by other people. Instead, you will begin on your own ship (which acts as a hub) and select from a variety of tasks before setting off. You may do missions by yourself or with other people, and you’ll get new equipment and upgrades as you go. We don’t know much about the Warframe Switch version from Digital Extremes, but we do know that Panic Button, the company that worked on the Rocket League and Doom ports for the Nintendo Switch, is participating. Although no release date has been specified, Warframe is now available for free on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
