AEW Fight Forever: Unleashing a Release Date to Challenge WWE Games

Exciting news, wrestling enthusiasts! The highly anticipated release date for AEW Fight Forever has been officially unveiled, and it’s right around the corner. None other than the renowned professional wrestling superstar Kenny Omega himself has presented a video revealing the game’s launch date, and trust me, it’s sooner than you think. As an avid AEW fan, I eagerly anticipate this game, hoping it rekindles the fervor for wrestling video games that we haven’t experienced since the days of WWE Smackdown Here Comes the Pain.

Mark your calendars, folks! AEW Fight Forever will be available on all current consoles and PC starting Thursday, June 29, 2023. This officially licensed game is set to deliver exciting features and experiences tailored specifically for wrestling fans like us. Personally, I can’t wait to take control of the precise moment when MJF confidently commands, “Cut my music!” during his grand entrance. It’s attention to detail like this that truly enhances the gaming experience and brings a smile to my face.

While it’s true that AEW Fight Forever has faced a few delays, I’m personally quite fond of the slightly cartoonish designs they have chosen for this game. The arcade-style approach they’re taking could potentially serve as a strong counterpart to WWE’s more grounded style. And let’s be honest, I’d be thrilled to see Adam Cole donning his Master Chief armor in the game, regardless of the overall style.

Kenny Omega has expressed the desire for AEW Fight Forever to capture the essence of the beloved AKI-style wrestling games. If you’ve ever experienced the likes of Virtual Pro Wrestling, you’ll likely feel right at home with this title.

Now, let’s dive into what AEW Fight Forever has to offer. The game boasts an impressive array of features, including ten gameplay modes: singles, tag-team, 3-way, 4-way, ladder, casino battle royale, falls count anywhere, unsanctioned lights out, and even an exploding barbed wire death match. The variety is definitely something to look forward to.

Moreover, the customization options are extensive, allowing you to personalize wrestler attire, move sets, entrances, teams, and arenas according to your preferences. This level of customization ensures that you can create a truly unique experience.

To add to the excitement, AEW Fight Forever will include a variety of mini-games, adding an extra layer of fun and diversity to the gameplay. Additionally, there will be a career mode where you can embark on a journey to stardom, facing challenges and making your mark in the wrestling world.

With over 50 wrestlers included in the base game and the promise of more content to come as downloadable content (DLC), AEW Fight Forever is shaping up to be a comprehensive and thrilling experience for wrestling fans. Get ready to step into the ring and unleash your inner champion.

As we eagerly await the announcement of the AEW Collision Saturday show, it remains uncertain whether AEW Fight Forever will incorporate the new show into the game. We may get more clarity when Collision is unveiled or shortly thereafter.

On another note, it is indeed peculiar that we haven’t seen much if any, tag team gameplay footage of AEW Fight Forever. It’s unclear whether this is due to ongoing issues since the game’s inception or for some other reason that hasn’t been disclosed.

Personally, I am most excited about the Career mode in AEW Fight Forever. I hope it seamlessly blends with backstage dealings, creating an authentic progression experience that mirrors how AEW is presented on a weekly basis. However, we’ll have to exercise patience and wait for more information on this front.

It’s no secret that many of AEW’s wrestlers are avid gamers. Adam Cole, for instance, streams on Twitch under the moniker TheCHUGs, while Kenny Omega has made appearances in gaming, dressing up as Sephiroth and even being featured in Like A Dragon: Ishin. It’s delightful to see that a significant portion of the talent doesn’t shy away from showcasing their love for games. It’s evident in Omega’s finishing move, the One Winged Angel, and even his move named V-Trigger. This merging of their passions is something I truly appreciate.

If you’re looking for something somewhat similar to AEW Fight Forever to keep you entertained while you wait, exploring the best fighting games might be a worthwhile option. It can help tide you over until the highly anticipated release of AEW Fight Forever.
