BBN 2023 Season 8 Audition: Application Requirements, Form, Registration Website, Dates, Venue, and Closing Deadline
Big Brother Naija is a popular Nigerian reality television show where contestants, known as housemates, live together in an isolated house and compete for a grand prize of 100,000,000 Naira (equivalent to $138,888.89). The show, broadcasted on DSTV and GOTV, features between 12 to 26 housemates who are voted by viewers, and those with the lowest votes are evicted from the show. The winner not only receives the cash prize but also other material gifts such as cars and endorsement deals. The inaugural season of Big Brother Naija was won by Katung Aduwak and included notable housemate Ebuka, who is now the host of the reality show.
After an 11-year hiatus, the second season of Big Brother Nigeria, also known as Big Brother Naija, premiered in 2017. Efe Ejeba, who popularized the catchphrase “Based on Logistics,” emerged as the winner. In 2018, Miracle Igbokwe from Imo State became the winner of the third season. The following year, Mercy Eke, fondly called Lambo, emerged as the winner of the fourth edition (season 4) in 2019.
Laycon emerged victorious in the fifth season of Big Brother Naija, also known as the Lock Down edition, held from July to October 2020. He was rewarded with prizes worth 80 million Naira. The sixth season, titled “Lock Down,” was won by Whitemoney, who received a grand prize of 90 million Naira. The season’s finale took place on October 3rd, 2021, with finalists including Liquorose, Pere, Cross, Angel, and Emmanuel. In the seventh season, called the Level Up edition, Phyna emerged as the winner Held.
BIG BROTHER NAIJA (2023) ONLINE AUDITION FORM
The online application process to become a housemate of Big Brother Naija Season 8 has not opened yet.
When the form becomes available, you will be able to obtain it from the BBNaija audition website at https://shortaudition.net/BIG-BROTHER-TITANS. Information regarding the form will also be provided through social media channels. This post will be continuously updated with the latest news regarding any changes in the application form. WHEN WILL THE NEXT BBNaija AUDITION FORM BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE?
The Big Brother Naija Season 8 application form for 2023 will be available between April and May 2023. Further information will be communicated to you through this website in due course.
HOW MUCH DOES THE BBNAIJA FORM COST?
Some individuals claim that the price of the form ranges from 80,000 to 100,000 naira. However, we strongly advise you to rely only on official sources for sensitive information. The form is completely free, and the organizers will not charge you for anything. The selection process is fair and unbiased.
You do not need to purchase or make any payment for the form. It is open to all Nigerians, and all you need to do is make yourself available for the process.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- If you are selected by the Producers for the next phase of the auditions, you must be available for a possible video interview.
2. If you are selected for the next phase, you will be contacted via email. Ensure that your email address is correct and regularly check your email to see if you qualify.
3. If you are selected by the Producers for an interview, you must be willing to travel to Lagos at a time scheduled by the Producers for the final selection process.
4. You must be willing to live in the Big Brother Naija house located in Lagos with approximately a dozen or more strangers, where you will have little or no privacy. If chosen to live in the house, it is your responsibility to make any necessary arrangements with your employer and family in anticipation of your extended absence.
5. The Big Brother Naija house is extensively equipped with video and audio recording devices that will record, broadcast, and exhibit your actions and voice at all times, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in every room and space of the house throughout your participation in the contest. You will be observed by the Producers as well as the general public watching on television, the Internet, mobile devices, and any other media platforms.
6. One participant will receive the grand prize (subject to change at the Producers’ and/or the Broadcaster’s discretion).
7. You must be at least 21 years old by June 1, 2023.
8. You must be a Nigerian citizen or a permanent resident of Nigeria as of June 1, 2023, and possess a valid identity document.
9. You must be in excellent physical and mental health.
10. If selected for an interview, you may be required to complete and return additional application materials (such as psychological and health questionnaires) or provide documents (such as your birth certificate, passport, and/or other identification) before the date of your personal interview in Lagos. You may also need to complete a Medical History form.
11. If selected, you may be required to sign Agreement & Release, Confidentiality agreement (including those for your immediate family members), caretaker agreement, undergo psychological and medical assessments (including blood and urine tests), and meet all physical and psychological requirements as specified by the Producers. Physical and psychological examinations by Producers’ selected medical professional(s) in Lagos may also be necessary.
12. By applying for participation in Big Brother Naija, you authorize the Producers to conduct civil, criminal, and any other type of background checks deemed necessary.
13. Employees, officers, directors, and agents of the Broadcaster, Producers, any sponsor of the Program or related contests or prizes, as well as their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies, and their immediate family members (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, or son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not), are not eligible to be participants on Big Brother Naija or participate in the application process.
VIDEO CASTING SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
To apply for Big Brother Naija auditions, please follow the simple steps below:

Your casting video must adhere strictly to the following guidelines:
- Big Brother Naija Producers are looking for dynamic individuals who are articulate, interesting, and exhibit enthusiasm for the project. They should also be willing to share their most private thoughts in an open forum of strangers.
2. The selected individuals must meet the technical requirements of the program and have sufficient physical, psychological, and mental capacity to endure approximately 100 days in a monitored house under extraordinary conditions.
Video Requirements
- The video must be a maximum of 3 minutes in length.
The video should end with you completing the sentence, “I would make a perfect housemate because…”

Avoid using filters, special video effects, copyrighted music, and background music.
Video Tips:
- Be yourself! Show us who you are as a person and how your life experiences can help you win Big Brother. How will you interact with the other housemates?
2. When describing yourself, provide real-life examples and share interesting stories.
3. Focus on showcasing the real you. The casting video is not about creating skits or wearing extravagant costumes.
4. If you come from a unique region or have an interesting job, talk about it and explain how it contributes to your personality or winning potential on Big Brother.
5. Ensure your camera is steady during the video shoot.
6. If shooting indoors, use a well-lit room with lights in front of you to illuminate your face.
7. Shoot your video during the day for better visibility.

To apply for Big Brother Naija, please follow these steps:
- Record a two-minute video of yourself stating why you should be selected as a Housemate of Big Brother Naija.
2. After recording your video, fill out the online registration form and upload your video.
3. Answer all questions on the form truthfully and provide complete information. Deliberately providing false information or withholding relevant details may result in disqualification.
4. The online audition is free and open to interested male and female participants who hold Nigerian or South African nationality, possess a valid means of identification, and are at least 21 years old by June 1, 2023.

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Audition Venue (2023):
The auditions for Big Brother Naija in previous years were held in eight major cities across Nigeria, including Lagos, Abuja, Warri, Benin, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Calabar, and Enugu. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the auditions for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 seasons were conducted online. Any changes for the 2023 auditions will be communicated to you accordingly.
